As an organizing team we would like to invite you to join us for this unique training conference. This event emerged of our own passion to learn nvc mediation and excitement to create an international community of people who would like to support each other in spreading this work around the world. We have seen both Kay & Liv and John & Ike doing mediations and nvc mediation workshops and we got so inspired we decided to bring, for the first time, all four trainers together to one place to intensify the process of mutual learning. We have already experienced ourselves how learning nvc mediation is a powerful and expedient way of learning nvc skills, contributing to self growth and giving practical mediation tools to contribute to peace around the world, whether in our families, work or with the people around us. We would like to share with you this exiting adventure, which gives so much meaning and hope in our lives.
ABOUT THE TRAINING
This is a course for you who want to gain a deeper understanding of NVC in order to act as a third sider. For you who want to mediate in families, in schools and in working places, between neighbours and others who need help to find contact that makes cooperation possible. For you who already are engaged in meditative actions and want to get a deeper knowledge and inspiration. Maybe you are a teacher, manager, activist, policeman, social worker, project manager, consultant, parent or a fellow human being. Most parts of the course are devoted to active training in communication, conflict resolution and mediation in different settings.
This workshop is about growing personally in how you deal with conflict and learning how to support others when they are in conflict. It may look like:
- conducting mediations among the waring voices within your head or learning how to put those voices "in the chairs"
- mediating your conflicts with others
- being present with the intensity of the conflicts of others
- ending your skills in circumstances where either you are doing so without being asked or where you have been formally asked to serve in the role of mediator
- applying your mediation skills to support groups of people to reach decisions that are satisfying to all concerned
- coaching so as to support the personal growth of others to be able to respond to the conflicts they are experiencing
All of these ways will build upon learning how to utilize the skills offered in this training to expand in your capacities to be in conflict situations and to be at choice to utilize your skills to support the emergence of connection, resolution, reconciliation and healing.
