Ike Lasater
Ike Lasater
Ike Lasater facilitates the resolution of conflicts, coaches people in conflict, and teaches these skills to others. His mediation work is based on the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), a communication model developed by Marshall B. Rosenberg with whom Ike has done most of his formal NVC training. Ike has facilitated NVC and NVC Mediation workshops across the United States and in Australia, Hungry, New Zealand, Pakistan, Poland and Sri Lanka. He has served as a board member of a number of organizations including: the Center for Nonviolent Communication and the Association for Dispute Resolution of Northern California. He co-founded the Yoga Journal magazine. Ike engaged in civil trial practice in the San Francisco financial district for twenty years. He co-found Banchero & Lasater, a twenty-person law firm specializing in complex, multiparty, commercial, and environmental cases. His experience in conflict resolution includes almost four decades of marriage and parenting of three now adult children (who seem to enjoy interacting with their parents), long-term practice of aikido, Zen meditation, yoga, and integrating NVC into his daily life since 1996.

John Kinyon
John Kinyon
John Kinyon is a leading trainer of the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) and its global network, and is a co-founder of the Bay Area NVC organization in San Francisco. John works with individuals, groups, and organizations and has offered mediation and communication skills training to thousands of people around the world, including providing conflict resolution training to Afghan tribal elders along the Pakistani border in 2002. John has worked closely with NVC founder Marshall Rosenberg since 2000. John has a background in clinical psychology and has started three businesses.

He also incorporates a long study of spiritual practice and principles of nonviolence into his work, including study and practice of the work of Carl Rogers, Gandhi, Eckhart Tolle, Ken Wilber, David Whyte, Byron Katie, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, and Parmahansa Yogananda of Self-Realization Fellowship.

Kay Rung
Kay Rung
Works as empathy trainer, mediator & publisher.
Started to learn and teach NVC in 1997/98. Has a deep passion to contribute with tools for connection, cooperation and understanding.
Kay offer schools, organisations and workplaces training in communication, mediates in conflicts and is responsible for Friare Liv`s long programs.
He has been working with Liv Larsson for the last 10 years in Sweden and around the world, last in dec/jan 2009 to train and support Thai mediatiors.

He is inspired by Gandhi, Hafiz, and  Marshall Rosenberg`s life and work. His son and new teacher in life Neo helps him live what he teaches. Kay`s favourite quote: We need to be the change we want to see in the world.

Liv Larsson
Liv Larsson
Liv Larsson is a certified NVC trainer – since 2002- and a passionate mediator. Trained by Marshall Rosenberg, the founder of NVC.
Liv has worked with communication training, team and leadership development, and mediation since 1992. Based in Sweden she works there as well as internationally (US, Sri Lanka, Thailand, France, Estonia and Poland).
She last trained UN mediators from around the world, and supported Thai mediators with materials and training. Her book on mediation is soon coming out in Polish, German and Thai.
She is the mother of Neo and author of six books on communication and mediation.

She says about her work with Nonviolent Communication that; ”I have found an opportunity to really contribute, not only to a few individuals’ quality of life, but also in a wider context.With the NVC-process, I feel hopeful that it really is possible to create a world where what everybody needs is our guide in how to act.
On her heart is especially seeing mediation in the context of a social change towards more life-serving structures – and as a set of skills that anybody can learn with a bit of practice.
